Wife and loving mother of three wonderful children. My girl/boy twins are in their thirty’s and my youngest son turning 30 this year.  Fortunately they have chosen their life paths and are very happy. All a doting mother could ask for.

As far back as I can remember, I loved to sew and make my own Barbie clothes. As I got older, I started to make my own clothes. I would save my allowance to buy fabric and patterns. I finally took one sewing class in Junior High, the rest is all self taught  In High school I took a woodshop class, my love of power tools came from that class.

Nearing graduation, I really wanted to go into fashion design. I was accepted to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in San Francisco.  A month before I was set to go my life changed that set me on another path. 

I worked in the Accounting field for close to 30 years, though it paid the bills it was never my passion.  While having a part-time bookkeeping job and making custom soft furnishings for a local furniture store, I had an opportunity to reupholster a child’s chair. I fell in love the whole process.

I have spent the last 12 years learning all about reupholstering. Starting with Youtube videos and all the books I could find. Around this time Kim Chagnon of Kim’s upholstery started her Facebook group and online learning. I am a member and have  hosted one of her three day workshop.  I am also a member of the National Upholstery Association and  the Window Coverings Association of America.

During this journey I have realized that this is what I was meant to do my entire life.
